Here are the lyrics of what I could make of the two verses in 1997 broadcast:

------------------------
1st cut:
------------------------

I can see you now standing,
right in front of me,
so much to love

I get a glimpse from my past,
It's you I'm thinking of

------------------------
2nd cut:
------------------------

But you won't get the pleasure of seeing me cry,
My thoughts will be secret until I die,
I won't bother you no more,
There's something I just want to know

----------

By the way, Marko, in regards to unknown songs. I'm sure you've heard that at the end of the official Virgin interview (made sometime in 1999, probably late fall), the one with the live clips from the Sound Republic in it, there is a live song, seemingly from the Sound Republic, that's totally unknown (at least to me), and it's not mentioned in the SR reviews either.

Do you have any information about this track? It must be a Lene song, because even the little I can hear sounds absolutely great. I wish they could've released it as well...

LA MIA RISPOSTA:

Thank you for the text: I had understood enough to verify that this lyrics aren't between the new songs, but a little doubt remains now that the text is clear.
Don't know about the interview with live clips from Sound Republic, I think.
But the other mysterious song we knew (which from the melody I'm sure it's the same of 1997 Nrk) was on lenemarlin.com, in the background of one of the video interviews. The name of the interview was Travelling. But the song was at its end, not at the beginning, like here in Nrk 1997, so the text was different. Years ago I had written some words I could understand. Now I've found that two lines are almost totally corresponding to two lines in Fight Against The Hours.

And in the text you've posted there are other "suspected" lines. In fact one verse in the second strophe of Fight Agains The Hours says "I'm here, thinking only of you" and you posted: "It's you I'm thinking of"; then, always in the second strophe: "But you haven't called me, you promised you would" and you posted "But you won't get the pleasure of seeing me cry"; always there: "I'm sure there's a reason, say there's a reason" and you posted "There's something I just want to know".
Could be that Lene changed the text, 'cos this mysterious song we could here behind the interviews were still demos, not completed songs.
So, I have this suspect that the mysterious song could be Fight Against The Hours revisited. Perhaps when we'll listen to the melody we will have a confirmation.

The new songs are not necessarily all new and anyway Lene could have taken a hint from that old song. The theme seems to be Lene that waits in a hotel room waiting for a call, but we could also give another interpretation and in any case some text could have be changed. The theme of Lene disappointed by someone is old (think of US), so this mysterious song we heard in some interviews could be one of the 4 songs not included in PMG and now revisited for the new album.

There's a day I never will forget..
The day we met, when we met..
From this day on I'll follow you
I'll keep you near like I promised to
And I swear to you
I won't be gone when the night comes...

B|a{S}tO grazie di esistere!
