| Chinese opening for Lene Marlin |
| Source : Dagbladet |
Intimate and short: Lene Marlin's Paris performance yesterday didn't become one of the longer, but hit off very well.
Yesterday evening, Lene Marlin launched her new album Another Day before a selected European audience in Paris. It got an intimate character on the small stage at China Club.
PARIS: - She is sugar, pop. It sounds nice and natural. It doesn't seem like marketing, says Marine (21), who didn't know that Lene is Norwegian.
- And she is so young, exclaimed the friend Philippe (22). They liked very much the four songs Lene served at the mini concert. It was crammed in the small premises, with among others a hundred foreign journalists.
In good mood
Lene, dressed in a white Tromsų T-shirt and jeans, seemed fit. Her eyes were closed to the often melancholic songs, like Sorry or You Weren't There. The encore, not entitled, was completely new.
- This one I'd perhaps put on the next album. It will probably be out in about four new years, said Lene and twinkled.
She has from the last album an huge audience in France.
300 000
- It sold 300 000. That is a lot to be in France. Now we're hoping for the same. It's quite a young audience, but we hope she will reach new age groups. This album is more natural. However, a lot of work remains. We need to create a new profile for her, said Julien Chautard from the record company.
The preliminaries yesterday did promise very well. And this mini show nobody knew about. The next time she performs in Paris, it will be crammed with people. Guaranteed.
